“Auto Flush Notes 2” by Dennis DeSantis is one of those Max for Live devices that once you see what it does, you can’t believe how you could go without it. At least, I had wanted these functions for a long time. It automatically stops all notes once the transport is stopped.
Additionally, it can silence all release envelopes and reset pitch bend and mod wheels. You can manually trigger these actions when pressing the Flush button.
Add it to any MIDI track you wish to use it on, quickly configure it. Done.
This way for heaps more Max for Live devices & tips.

This removed the sustain envelope all together for me (64 hold pedal) :-/ Is there any way to use this plugin to gradually reduce the sustain or to end it directly when the clip ends without removing it from the entire clip?

No, its function is to send a Note Off message for all MIDI notes.
