I’m back with another free Live Pack for you. This one features bodhrán, an Irish drum that I played and sampled. The Live Pack contains a Drum Rack with different hits, strikes with the beater and brushes as well as an Instrument Rack with a tuned bodhrán strike. As usual, both are macro mapped and work in Live 8 and 9.
Listen to the demo:
If clicking it to download results in a text-file, simply right-click and choose ‘Save Link as…’. To install, just double-click the alp-file and choose the installation path when prompted by Live. And here’s a tutorial on how to use the presets from Live Packs that are not self-installing.
If you have the means to do so and would like to say thank you, I’d be grateful for a small donation.
Questions or suggestions? Please leave me a comment below.

I couldn’t download it. it loads a page full of codes… but not the device :{
Right-click and ‘Save As…’ as described in the post should work. 😉
Hi there, I downloaded the Bodhran file , Can you tell me what file opening program to use to open the download, Thanks Ian Mackenzie.
It’s a Live Pack that can only be opened in Ableton Live.
Thank you, Madeleine, for sharing the sounds from this rare and exhilarating instrument.
Sound amazing.
Will this work in Live 10 intro?
It i s not available in my country = can it be mailed or got form a different source?
Thank you
I’m not sure if I’d limited the scenes. If I did, it’d work in Intro as well. The downloads are not restricted by country and are available worldwide.
Thanks for the reply.
When I click on your download section. I am brought to a window where a blue button is labelled :…..”I want this but..
“Before I can click on it , a red message appears saying “this is not available your location”
I am limited to 8 scenes and 16 tracks in Live 10 Intro – I think
I’ve sent you an email so we can better figure out why this isn’t working for you.
Hey there,
I downloaded this for Ableton Live 11, but it won’t seem to install. Is there a trick, or does it not work with the newer version? Thanks!
Yes, I’ve linked a quick tutorial on how to use these Live Packs in the post itself.
