With a Little Help from Max for Live: Versatile Generative Bass Lines

The Max for Live device we’re going to be using in this episode of “With a Little Help from Max for Live” comes from the new CV Tools Pack available for free from Ableton. Even though the focus of the pack is the control and modulation of and by modular synths, the Rotating Rhythm Generator MIDI effect that is included works without any hardware and is worth downloading the pack for. With the help of the Rotating Rhythm Generator we will build a versatile MIDI effect rack perfect for generating varied bass lines on the fly. Ideal for live performances, but also great to generate ideas in the studio.
