If you’re a drummer who wants to play electronic beats or just feel like a bass drum needs to be played with the foot, check out “Sustain Pedal Kick Drum”. This simple Max for Live MIDI effect allows you to play the kick with a sustain pedal.
Sustain Pedal Kick Drum
If you want to be able to edit the kick later, place the effect on an separate track and route MIDI To to the track with the Drum Rack. Otherwise it’s recorded as normal sustain pedal hits.

How does it work? I’ve dragged it onto midi track but can’t hear any kick drum? I mapped sustain pedal to on/off but nothing is happening
It’s a MIDI effect, so it won’t make a sound on its own. You need to add a Drum Rack or other MIDI instrument as well.
Hi, Madeleine.
Thanks for making this. I’m really excited to use it.
Here’s my challenge. I’m using it on a track in the latest Live and I only get one kick. After that, nothing. I have to delete the device and put it back on. After that, once again, I only get one kick. What do you think is happening?
Cheers.
I’m not the developer. but I think it hasn’t been updated in ages, so this might be a problem. You could contact the dev.
