This Live Pack is the second of a 10-piece series of Mellotron sounds. To recreate the unique sound of the Mellotron, each note was individually sampled. “Mellotron Combined Choir” contains a Simpler preset as well as three fully macro-mapped Instrument Racks, one with controls to add reverb, one that’s great for pad sounds and another one for synth leads. For Ableton Live 9 Standard or Suite. Sampled by Taijiguy.

If clicking it to download results in a text-file, simply right-click and choose ‘Save Link as…’. To install, just double-click the alp-file and choose the installation path when prompted by Live. And here’s a tutorial on how to use the presets from Live Packs that are not self-installing.

Thank you for this . . . I don’t see the loop controls in Simpler, it shows no waveform and says “Multisample Mode”. How do I create a seamless loop so I can play each note for longer than 7 seconds?
If you have the Suite version of Live, you can right-click on the title of the Simpler and convert it back into the Sampler, which is what I created the presets in: https://sonicbloom.net/ableton-live-insider-tips-convert-simpler-to-sampler/
Seamless loops can be tricky if the samples don’t really allow for it though.

The samples are free to be used in any music production, but not to be used as the basis for commercial presets and racks.

No, only Standard and up, I’m afraid.
