This week, the Musikmesse is happening in Frankfurt again. There are some products directly aimed at the use with Ableton Live and since this is a site about Ableton Live, I’ll focus on those.

The APC40 MKII at Musikmesse Frankfurt
The APC40 mkII, APC Key 25, and APC mini will be available in Summer 2014, distributed worldwide with the following street prices: APC40 mkII ($399.99 USD), APC Key 25 ($129.99 USD), and APC mini ($99.99 USD).
Lemur 5
Lemur, the iPad app from Liine that also features a dedicated template for Ableton Live, has gotten a major update with some great new features. The update is free for all existing users.
New features are:
- Canvas – new object for scripting custom widgets adapted from the HTML5 Canvas element
- new objects for step sequencers – StepNote, StepSwitch and StepSlider
- overhauled time engine for better sync and triggering on musical subdivisions
- new bundled templates

Liquid Notes for Live by Re-Compose
Liquid Notes allows for harmonic analysis of MIDI notes and reharmonisation of multiple tracks. In short, it makes composing melodies and harmonies much easier. Previously available as a standalone instrument and plug-in, there’s now a new integration directly into Ableton Live via a Max for Live MIDI effect.
