This free granular delay is very versatile. It's great for simple or very complex delay effects as well as creating textures. This is because you can have up to 15 voices, each voice with individual filtering, re-pitching, envelope and panning. As if that wasn't enough, there are even more mod options.
Hard to believe, but Sonic Bloom already turns 3 today. A big thank you to everyone who’s been following this blog, registered or got one of my courses or Max for Live Packs by Max for Cats. Thanks as well for joining me on Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and YouTube.
The Starter Kit 2 PeRColate by Maxology gives you the possiblity to explore the new physical modeling capabilities in Max 7. The PeRColate objects stem from the Synthesis Toolkit by Perry R. Cook and Gary Scavone, including physical modeling, modal, and PhISM class instruments.
For all users of CatStretch we have great news. Version 2 with lots of new features is out now and it's free for everyone who had purchased version 1. And if you bought the Stochastic Delay and happen to own a copy of OSCiLLOT, you will be happy to hear that a module for Max for Cats' modular system of the effect awaits you in Your Account (don't forget to log in first).
Christian Kleine, a.k.a. Max for Cats, has been busy. After the Max for Live modular synth OSCiLLOT, he's already finished two unique and creative delays now out on Sonic Bloom. Skram Delay and Stochastic Delay both take a fresh approach on time shifting of an audio signal, one of the most powerful and effective sound treatments ever invented.
Ever had the need for very long, slowly fading delays? None of the delays in Live offers this possibility. Dela Long Delay is tempo synced with delay times from 1/4 notes to 16 bars. It's free, and requires Live 9 and Max 6.
This time it's about three Max for Live audio effects, all of them free. One ping-pong grain delay hybrid, one to make your sound more electric and one binaural stereo effect.
Dopplator is an LFO modulated time delay with feedback. It's really great for rhythmic variations or glitchy delays on drums, pad sounds and more.
Here's another great Max for Live audio effect by Amazing Noises a.k.a. Maurizio Giri, known for his books on programming with Max and more recently the much lauded Dark Synth. The 'Granular Mirror Maze' is a granular modulated feedback delay/reverberator and can create some really great effects and pad sounds.
Here's the latest episode of the 'Ableton Live Insider Tips' which shows you the different modes of Filter Delay, Simple Delay and Ping Pong Delay and how you can achieve great glitch effects/tape delay in the re-pitch mode.
